PyCon Canada
Over Remembrance Day weekend, I went to Toronto for the first time for PyCon Canada, a Python programming language conference.
The place I stayed was a block from the conference, and within sight of Yonge-Dundas Square & Eaton Center. Nice view!
I enjoyed the conference, though I was too busy attending talks and meeting people to have many photos.
After the conference I did some sightseeing (and birding, of course)
The Toronto City Hall is quite pretty and even more so at night.
Old City Hall is also very nice, though a very different architectural style.
I spent Monday going birdwatching at Tommy Thompson Park, which has some lovely views of the city.
I didn't make it all the way to the end, in part because the floating bridge was open!
There were a lot of birds, mostly Long-tailed Ducks.
As soon as I approached the pond with these swans in it they swam over predatorily. I was worried they were going to mug me for food!
More birds and bird pics on the eBird checklist
Before going to the airport on Tuesday I stopped by the Royal Ontario Museum. It was very nice, and I didn't have time to see most of its exhibits.
I found some birds in the museum too!
